The Third Week of June 💌 Caleb Mission Newsletter from Pastor Seungeun Kim

Hallelujah! We pray that the God of peace be with you all. Thanks to your prayers, I have safely completed my trip to the United States, returned home, and am now at the North Korean defectors' community center in Cheonan, Korea.

During the US tour, we accomplished many milestones, including raising awareness of North Korean missions in the US and initiating a prison ministry in partnership with an American organization.

I am asking for your special prayers regarding the current issue.

Recently, China has been repatriating a larger number of North Korean defectors than ever before. The cases mentioned in the news are just a small part. There are instances where Chinese public security uses some North Korean defectors as bait, making them send out rescue requests, tracking them when they meet the rescuer, and apprehending both the defectors and the missionaries helping them at the same time.

Upon my return to Korea, I contacted our contacts in North Korea. I was informed that it would be impossible for them to escape from North Korea at this time. The reason given was the high number of North Korean defectors being arrested in China and sent back to North Korea. It is reported that China is currently apprehending and repatriating North Korean defectors on a large scale, to the extent that there is a shortage of prison space for them.

It is alarming that North Korean defectors in China face challenges as China does not acknowledge their refugee status and has intensified efforts to arrest them.

Please pray for the safety of North Korean defectors. Also, pray for the Southeast Asia Center to become a place where gospel ministry leaders are raised, and North Korean defectors can meet Jesus Christ. Additionally, please pray for its uninterrupted operation.

I will now focus on rescuing North Korean defectors here in Korea and working to build North Korean defector leaders at the North Korean Defectors' Community Center. Please pray for the safety of the North Korean defectors and that they will not be repatriated to North Korea. Thank you.

🙏🏻❤️Please pray with us for North Korea ❤️🙏🏻

1. Heavenly Father, please help the church to focus more on missions and work to expand the kingdom of God.

2. God, please help us with the safe rescue of North Korean defectors in China, guide us to spread the gospel in the Southeast Asia center, and train leaders for the North Korean ministry in the defectors’ community center in South Korea.

3. Lord, we pray that the faith of North Korean defectors who come to South Korea after completing Bible study at the Southeast Asia Center will grow stronger daily.

4. Lord, please further expand God's kingdom through the prayers of believers and bless missionaries, ministers, and their families and ministries. In Jesus' Name, Amen
