During the Lunar New Year holiday, we spent time with North Korean defectors at the Caleb Mission community center, sharing food and comforting each other as they longed for home.
Beyond Utopia raises awareness of the plight of North Korean defectors through its domestic release, but it is crucial to remember that many are still waiting for rescue in China.
I heard a heartbreaking story. The child of a North Korean defector living in South Korea is in urgent need of treatment. It is said that to receive help, there must be confirmation that his mother is a North Korean defector. To help him, we must rescue his North Korean defector mother hiding in China. It takes a lot of finances to save North Korean defectors, and it breaks my heart to hear the news that not a single North Korean defector has a sad story. We kindly ask for your donations and prayers to save their lives and spread the gospel.
North Korean women rescued last winter and nurtured at the Southeast Asia Center will soon move to the South Korean embassy. Please pray they become leaders of the next generation of North Korean missions.
Also, everyone who reads this message, please pray for me. I'm off to the UK for the British Academy Awards ceremony. "Beyond Utopia" has been nominated in the documentary category. Despite my lack of finances, I decided to participate in raising the name of God in the world through the awards ceremony and publicizing the ministry and human rights in North Korea. Please pray for the anointing of all the journey and finances.
After the safe arrival of the last group of North Korean defectors in South Korea, the rescue of new defectors will begin. Despite the difficulties, we trust God's goodness, who will work through your prayers. We request your prayers and intercession. Thank you.
