Caleb Mission Newsletter 💌 The Second Week of November

Updated: 6 hours ago

Hallelujah! I pray that the God of peace is with you. After the North Korean regime sent its troops to the Russo-Ukrainian War, public sentiment within North Korea became extremely uneasy. The regime's vigilance to prevent defections increased, further intensifying the suffering of North Korean defectors.

The Chinese government is enforcing anti-Christian policies by restricting sermons in Korean at churches and mandating that all preaching be conducted in Chinese. Korean-Chinese students are also required to use only Chinese in schools, which prohibits the use of the Korean language.

The first Korean has been arrested and charged under the Anti-Espionage Act since its implementation. He is expected to receive multiple prison sentences soon. This situation has increased pressure on the rescue efforts of North Korean defectors.

There are frequent instances of individuals requesting rescue from the Caleb Mission, only to change their minds during the rescue attempt and flee. This often stems their fear of the severe punishments they would face if caught while escaping and sent back to North Korea.

Additionally, many mothers who are unable to abandon their children, who were sold or forcibly born in China, are requesting that their children be rescued as well. Despite the challenges involved, Caleb Mission is committed to doing its utmost to rescue North Korean defectors and their children.

We would like to express our gratitude to everyone working together to rescue North Korean defectors. We also request your love and support to help us spread the gospel to more North Korean defectors.

The Daniel Prayer Meeting is currently taking place, with over 16,000 churches worldwide participating in 21 days of daily worship. I will be speaking on November 17th. Please pray that this ignites interest in North Korean missions.

Currently, nine pastors from the Caleb Mission Southeast Asia Mission Center are visiting Korea. Efforts to rescue North Korean defectors are also ongoing. Out of love for the local pastors who are dedicated to this cause in Southeast Asia, we kindly ask that you consider giving them a small gift as a sign of support. Thank you.

🙏🏻❤️Please pray with us for North Korea ❤️🙏🏻

1. God, please help change the policy in China that prohibits worship in Korean.

2. God, please provide a time of grace and rest for Southeast Asian missionaries visiting Caleb Mission.

3. God, please help us gather prayers and support from many people for the rescue of North Korean defectors and for spreading the gospel through the Daniel Prayer Meeting.

In Jesus' Name, Amen
